It has come to my attention many times over the years that I am not very good at marketing. I lack the consistency and discipline to continuously stick my neck and my name out there to try to drive up comic sales. This might be why I am an amateur creator rather than an indy success.
Even this very blog, I created a few years ago and gave up after a few posts. I want people to read my comics, yes, but I feel so darn egotistical laying down tracks for the hype train.
Honestly, I get such satisfaction creating the comics that it is far too easy for me to push the advertising part off to an unknown future date. I am selling myself short in that however because my goals aren’t just to make cool comics, they include selling good comics. With that in mind, I’m going to take another go at using this blog and creating a buzz.
This is easier in one important way. I have doubled my available content since I first made this blog. The pandemic took a lot of things from us all, but it also gave me much time to be creative.
